Winslow baseball and softball schedules finalized, season starts Feb. 21

The Winslow Bulldogs baseball team will open regular season play at the Fountain Hills Invitational Tournament Feb. 21-23. The Lady Bulldogs softball team will host the Hopi Lady Bruins at 3 p.m. Feb. 22 to open their season.

Both the baseball and softball teams will host teams from Flagstaff on Feb. 27 and Holbrook on Feb. 28.

In March the junior varsity baseball team will host Window Rock at 3:30 p.m. March 4. The junior varsity softball team will host Payson at 3:30 p.m. March 5. The softball teams will play at Snowflake March 8 at 3 p.m. (varsity) and 4:30 p.m. (junior varsity). The junior varsity softball team will play at Show Low March 11 at 3:30 p.m. All four teams will play in Holbrook March 13 at 3:30 p.m.

The junior varsity baseball team will host Williams at 3:30 p.m. March 14 and Mingus on March 15. The varsity baseball team will host Mingus that same day.

The varsity softball team will participate in the Bloomfield, N.M. Invitational Tournament March 15 and 16 with times to be announced later. The varsity baseball and softball teams will play double-headers at Williams March 20 at noon and 2 p.m. and participate in the Payson Invitational Tournament March 22 and 23. The varsity baseball team will play Hopi at Winslow Mach 22 at 3 p.m. Both the varsity and junior varsity baseball and softball teams will play double headers at Page March 29 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

In April, the baseball and softball varsity squads will play Hopi at Polacca at 3:45 p.m. on April 2 while the junior varsity teams will host Holbrook at 4 p.m. that same day. On April 4, 5 and 6 the varsity baseball team will participate in the Wolves Invitational Tournament at Estrella Foothills. The junior varsity baseball team will host Show Low at 4 p.m. April 4.

The junior varsity softball team will host Williams for a double header April 6 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Camp Verde for a double header on April 13 at 10 a.m. and noon.

The varsity softball team will host Joseph City April 8 at 4 p.m., Blue Ridge April 15 and Coconino April 17.

The softball varsity will host Show Low April 22 at 6 p.m.

The varsity and junior varsity baseball teams will play Coconino at Flagstaff April 9 at 4 p.m. and Snowflake at Snowflake April 11 at 4 p.m. The varsity will play a double-header at Joseph City April 13 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. That same Saturday, the junior varsity will host Camp Verde in Winslow at 10 a.m. and noon for a double-header.

The varsity baseball and softball teams will play at Flagstaff April 19 and host Coconino April 23 before closing the regular season April 24 at Chinle at 3 p.m. The junior varsity teams will end their seasons after the Coconino game. The State Tournaments will follow on April 20, May 3, 4, 10 and 11.
