Submit your own Navajo-Hopi Observer online masthead photo
The Navajo-Hopi Observer is proud to showcase reader-submitted photos on the top of our community Web site. If you'd like your photo to appear, here's what you do:

1. Select a photo that will fit our horizontal online masthead.

Your photo should be a high-quality image that captures a moment you'd like to share. Outdoor shots with a dominant subject and/or panoramic view work best. The example below shows a typical crop.



The final cropped image size is generally 662x138 pixels, or 9.194 by 1.917 inches at 72 resolution. But don't worry, we'll crop your photo — just pick your favorite picture and send it our way. Keep the file size large so we have more to work with.



2. Submit your photo
Use the submission form below to send us your photo file. All entries must be copyright free and submitted with permission of the photographer. Photos may also appear in the Navajo-Hopi Observer print edition. Be sure to include the photographer's name and tell us a little about the picture.

Not all photos will be accepted. If accepted, please be patient, we receive a lot of great submissions and we try to rotate them every week. See additional photo release information below.
